Process Engineering

EIT's Process Engineers work to develop and improve the steps that EIT uses to manufacture a particular assembly. They coordinate with our project managers (PM's) and the customer. They are involved from the initial evaluation and quote of an assembly to extending the life of assemblies by replacing obsolete components. Some of the activities they perform include:

  • Generation of Documentation & Work Instructions
  • Stencil Review & Optimization
  • PCB Panelization
  • AOI, SMT, TH & X-Ray Programming
  • Solder, Flux & Aqueous Cleaning Chemistries
  • Thermal Profiles for Reflow & Wave Solder Systems
  • Design of Solder Pallets & Manufacturing Fixtures
  • Mechanical & Press-Fit Fixtures
  • ICT, Functional & Boundary Scan Programming
  • Selective Soldering Programming
  • Quality Reporting & Feedback
  • Cost Reductions
  • Process Improvements
