Senior Electrical Engineer

Test Engineer, Manager

Job Summary

The Test Engineer, Manager will supervise and manage test personnel in the development, implementation, and support of manual and automatic test equipment, software, customer-built test systems, and new-product repair. The Test Engineer, Manager will also oversee vendor test-equipment engineering evaluations and purchase recommendations.

Essential Functions

  • Reviews and evaluates new-product design specifications, text instructions, product assembly, and component test requirements, ensuring technical accuracy and cost efficiency
  • Develops project budgets, schedules, and timetables by analyzing engineering project requirements, area workload, and manpower availability
  • Monitors projects and ensures that timetables are met
  • Advises senior management of delays, problems, or changes
  • Resolves operational problems related to program implementation
  • Able to diagnosis product failures to component level
  • Provide technical support to the test group

Experience Requirements: Minimum of seven (7) years specifically related experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong electronics background with demonstrated proficiency in trouble shooting and diagnoses of populated PCBs
  • Proficiency in mathematics with strong programming and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with direct reports, corporate management, and customers

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or a commensurate level of related experience

Junior Engineer (Electrical)

Job Summary

The Junior Electrical Engineer will create electrical circuit designs for a wide range of products used primarily in the electronics instrumentation industry.

Essential Functions

  • Working under the direction of more senior design engineers participate in the specification, design, debug, documentation and delivery of cost-effective, high-quality analog and/or digital electrical products to manufacturing.
  • Interface with customers to develop product design requirements and associated project labor and material cost estimates.
  • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing during all phases of development to optimize design for cost, performance, manufacturability, service and reliability.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic understanding of digital and analog electronic circuit design.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of problem solving, creativity and analytical skills.
  • Experience in the use of CAE tools for design, analysis and schematic generation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of applicable ISO processes.
  • Strong general computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills; flexible, self-directed and able to work in a team environment

Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Experience Requirements: New graduate with BSEE to three years experience in an electrical design environment.
