Quality Assurance and Test processes are designed to control costs and maximize yield for Defect Free Deliveries.

IN-CIRCUIT TESTING
EIT uses two leading platforms for in-circuit testing:
  • GenRad 2286
offers extensive fault coverage, programming capability, J-tag testing, boundary scan testing, etc for assemblies with up to 3,800 test nodes.
  • Zehntel 1820
offers high level of fault coverage, boundary scan testing etc. As currently configured, our Zehntel equipment will test assemblies with as many as 1,200 test nodes.

Considering the variables of design, materials, components and processes employed in the production of a circuit board assembly, insuring high yield demands a rigorous testing and quality assurance at the assembly level in addition to controlling individual processes.

In-circuit test is one of the most effective tools in detection of component values, placement errors, solder defects, and many other possible fault conditions. Early in the contract process, we work with your organization to define the design criteria and fault coverage requirements appropriate to your assembly. Our goal is to deliver Defect Free Assemblies on-time. Lead times for test fixture development often exceed material lead times.

EIT also performs a wide variety of functional tests using customer furnished equipment or custom test stations designed and built by EIT.

We strongly encourage the use of in-circuit testing to insure defect free, timely quality production. When combined with functional testing, it assures your product's performance in the market.

To insure the workmanship of each assembly, quality assurance is performed in accordance with IPC-A-610 (latest version) Class II standards. Cosmetic defects, mechanical problems and other areas not detectable by either in-circuit or functional testing can be identified and corrected.

The results obtained in test and quality assurance are fed back in our continuous process improvement system.

In the event that issues are raised after delivery, our Corrective Action system is initiated to determine the root cause of any defects and to activate the changes necessary to eliminate the issue. Our commitment is to provide you with an initial response within 48 hours of any inquiry.

As part of our continuing commitment to quality, we are ISO9001 certified.
