EIT’s focus on medium to high technology assemblies in low to medium quantities has served both our customers and EIT well since 1977. For customers with low to medium technology assemblies or assemblies that are labor intensive, EIT’s Danville operations have worked well to provide an USA based alternative with slightly lower operating costs.

EIT is also able to support the manufacture of high volume assemblies and utilize global low cost regions through an alliance with Zollner Electronik AG of Germany. Zollner, in many ways, mirrors EIT but on a much larger scale. Zollner, like EIT places a strong emphasis on having engineering resources available to support manufacturing. Zollner has over 7,000 employees in fifteen manufacturing locations. The alliance between EIT and Zollner provides advantages to each company and their respective customers.

Germany: Zandt, Untergschwandt, LamEIT & EIT Customers Gain:

  • Access to Zollner’s 50+ production lines to support high volume requirements
  • Access to Zollner facilities in low cost regions in Romania, Hungary, Tunisia and China
  • Support for these activities is coordinated from an office at EIT
  • EIT also has the ability to support EIT customers in Europe and Asia with local Zollner manufacturing locations
  • Access to Zollner services such as injection molding, machining and sheet metal

Zollner & Zollner Customers Gain:

  • Office at EIT to support Zollner’s North American customers
  • Access to EIT’s engineering, prototyping, manufacturing, assembly and repair depot services to support Zollner customers and those programs requiring ‘made in the USA’ manufacturing
  • Ability to warehouse and store finished goods at EIT to support ‘just in time’ deliveries to customers in the USA
